(This information is presented by Jackstuff.com to give you a general idea of how to refill your cartridge. Always be sure to read the instructions that come with our refill kits before you start.)

COLOR & BLACK - all non-chipped cartridges

1 - Remove the cartridge from the printer and place a piece of regular "scotch" tape across the exit hole(s) to avoid leaking.

2 - Find the indentations on the top of the cartridge. Each color compartment has two indentations that can be felt through the label. You will insert the needle through the plastic at these fill points to inject the ink. You may peel back the label, or simply poke through it.

3 - For each color compartment, inject the appropriate ink into BOTH fill points. This is to ensure the sponge is completely saturated. Point the needle toward the exit hole to avoid leaving an air bubble under the sponge. If ink bubbles over the fill hole, pull back on the plunger to remove the excess ink. Be careful that the ink does not overflow into an adjoining compartment.

4 - When the compartment is filled, cover the fill holes with "scotch" tape.

5 - Leave the tape on the exit holes. When putting the cartridge back into the printer, the "pipes" puncture the tape, which acts as a gasket to avoid leakage.

COLOR & BLACK - all chipped cartridges

After "re-setting" the cartridge identification mechanism, follow the same procedures as the non-chipped cartridges (above), injecting ink into one hole for each color compartment.

RINSING -

Since inkjet ink is rather slippery, and the syringe is a smooth plastic, rinsing a syringe is not really necessary. If you wish, you can pull some clear water into the syringe and push it out a few times to keep it neat.
